I am humbled before such a wonderful and elegant online holiday concept! A more jaded person might accuse Twist Image of standing on the shoulders of giants, but what's wrong with recognizing what's great and making that work for you (and, more importantly, for the viewer)?
The agency didn't produce their own video, but instead they did something much more masterful and powerful: They gathered the year's best viral videos into one spot. At first blush that might sound stale, but looking back on the year's best online vids reminds us of something important that is sometimes easy to forget: The Internet is still an exciting and unpredictable place where anything or anyone can break out and be a star (even a guy in Australia offering free hugs.)
Unlike other "holiday cards" that are really just ads for the agency, this online experience shows Twist Image "gets it" without a single headline or line of copy about the agency.
BTW, this site includes some vids I hadn't seen before and may be new to you. Among favorites such as OK Go on treadmills and Microsoft Redesigning the iPod packaging are some less well known gems including Awesome Jugging Improved and From the Mouths of Babies, which is almost guaranteed to bring a smile to your face!
